BiteLines Atlanta Food Tours is getting ready to relaunch its Food and Street Art Tour on the Atlanta BeltLine, starting Saturday March 2, 2024.
On this insider's walking Food and Street Art Tour, you will get a sampling of popular neighborhood restaurants, and take a deep dive into Atlanta's celebrated graffiti art scene, all while immersing yourself in the energy of the bustling Atlanta BeltLine.
If you haven't heard about the Atlanta BeltLine, it's a former railroad turned into a recreation trail that has become a model for urban renewal. But it's more than that. It is the place to hang out in Atlanta. You'll see people walking, jogging, riding bikes and scooters, and even performing music on this trail running through the heart of the city.
All along the BeltLine's Eastside Trail is an explosion of restaurants - with numerous delicious food options making up the city's diverse culinary scene.
In addition to food, there is much to see on the BeltLine. Atlanta is a city that embraces grafitti and street art, and nowhere is this truer than the Atlanta BeltLine. You'll find bridge underpasses livened up with murals, sculptures dotting the trail and businesses showcasing popular art on the sides of their buildings. You might even see some of Atlanta's artists at work.
The Food: BiteLines Food and Street Art Tour
A BiteLines Food and Street Art Tour begins at Krog Street Market, Atlanta's pioneering food hall that ignited a citywide craze. Here, you'll find chefs recognized as James Beard nominees, with two restaurants earning coveted Michelin Guide designations within the past year. Popular among both locals and tourists, Krog Street Market has garnered acclaim as one of the world's premier food halls by Travel + Leisure.
You'll get to savor decadent chocolates, when we visit a local chocolate factory inside one of the food stalls at Krog.
We then bring you on a stroll down the Atlanta BeltLine to stop at restaurants we highly recommend, while relaxing over refreshing margaritas.
We have curated these restaurants for you - bringing you to places we love and show off to our friends and family. So you don't have to seek out restaurants on your own and risk having a bad meal.
The Street Art: BiteLines Food and Street Art Tour
As you walk the BeltLine, we help you discover the vibrant street art that creates a backdrop to the trail, with an expert guide unveiling secrets behind each artwork. From iconic works to hidden gems, you'll experience the creative spirit that defines Atlanta's art scene. Did you know that one Atlanta muralist was featured in the movie Black Panther? We'll show you where to find his Japanese-inspired murals. Did you know there are Tiny Doors located on the BeltLine? We'll help you seek them out. You will see for yourself why Art on the Atlanta BeltLine has earned a national reputation.
Why Come on a BeltLine Food and Street Art Tour?
With four successful seasons under our belt, BiteLines Atlanta Food Tours has earned rave reviews on Tripadvisor, Viator, Get Your Guide, Airbnb and Google. We have shared the Atlanta BeltLine, its restaurants and street art with hundreds of tour guests. No one knows the Atlanta BeltLine better than we do - it is literally our backyard. We'll bring you to the liveliest section of the trail, and even tell you where to park. And we'll show you hidden gems we're sure you wouldn't find if you just walked the trail on your own.
Perfect for Atlanta Tourists: Authentic Way to See Atlanta
If you are visiting Atlanta, this is a way to get off the beaten path (so to speak) and get an authentic experience of Atlanta. The Atlanta BeltLine is where locals come out to play and express their creative side. Especially on a warm spring day, with azaleas and dogwoods in bloom, it seems like half of metro Atlanta is out on the BeltLine, soaking it all in. You will see Atlantans walking, jogging, riding bikes and scooters and just having fun. Why not join them?
Perfect for Locals: Discover the BeltLine and New Restaurants
If you live in the metro Atlanta area, you have probably heard about the Atlanta BeltLine - and maybe even been to Ponce City Market. But there's so much more to explore! We will bring you to neighborhood restaurants we know you'll want to return to. And we'll point out others for you to try because there's no way we can get to them all in one day! Yes, you can walk the trail on your own and stop at a restaurant you find online. But we have been to nearly all the restaurants, we know which ones are good, and we make sure you get a sampling of several of the most popular ones.
What People Say About BiteLines Atlanta Food Tours
We love to hear from our tour guests that they enjoyed the food, and will be back to the restaurants we brought them to. It especially warms our hearts when they make friends on the tour and are swapping contact info to stay in touch. That's what we want to happen! We are travelers, too, and we have been on food tours in other cities. We know there's no better way to see a city than through the eyes of a local - to go to the restaurants they like, the bars they frequent, to see the hidden spots they show you - that as a tourist, you would never find on your own. That's how we want you to see Atlanta - like a local, not a tourist. There is no greater reward than when our tour guests tell us, "This is the best tour I've ever been on." That's what we want for everyone who comes on our Food and Street Art Tour.
